New Beginnings!

For Young Women, we always start the year with a special night called New Beginnings. It's meant to introduce the new theme for the year, get girls excited for personal progress, and to recognize any achievements made. This year's theme is the 13th Article of Faith. We had a fun way to introduce it!

We did a skit/pageant! One of the young woman was unable to make it so I was coerced in to performing. But I gotta admit, it was really fun!

Another Video of Lucas

It turns out, Lucas loves when I make this weird sound with my throat! The first night I did it, he would stop everything and look straight at me and smile the cutest smile whenever I would start making it. It would even make him stop crying! This was the second night, but he still responded similarly. So cute!!

Nephews!

As you may know, when I married KR, I instantly became the aunt of....27? 28? nieces and nephews! Since then, two more have been born so we might be up to 29? I think...sorry! I don't know! But in my defense, I get the same response when I hear KR or Catherine, or even their parents when asked how many grandkids there are.

Catherine, Brian and Lucas were in town a few weekends ago and since apparently I failed at getting pictures of anything but Lucas to prove they were here, I will post a few of those (not that anyone is opposed to looking at pictures of him; he's so cute!!)

It was SO fun having them around for close to 2 weeks! I got to chat with Catherine a ton, who has become one of my good friends so I miss her a lot! I got to play with Lucas too! I think he knows who I am now...hopefully! haha. And of course it was great to see Brian too, especially when he and KR were reunited. I wish those boys could play more often!

Meatloaf!

It turns out meatloaf is not the most photogenic food but I had to show proof!!

KR and I were feeling adventurous one Sunday and decided to make meatloaf. This recipe was easy and SO tasty! I think it's going in my list of 'staples'.

We didn't have any bread left except for the heels, so we used those for the bread crumbs and then KR's idea was to use some oats for the the rest. Turned out delicious!

St. Patrick's Day!

This year for St. Patrick's day, we weren't able to do a ton of celebrating. I had some cute decorations up in our apartment and of course we wore green. But we had work all day and then we had signed up to go with our ward to the Oregon Food Bank!

It was pretty fun! We packed frozen peas the whole time (very festive, seeing as they were green). Our friends Daniel and Katie invited us afterward to a little gathering so we did party a little bit! Woo hoo! We had fun and we're continuing to meet new people!

Winging Beauty En Fuego!

A couple weeks ago, KR and I got together with our friends, Daniel and Katie and went to Buffalo Bill....Wild Buffalo Wings...ah, I don't know what it's called...something about buffalo wings though.

Delicious food, and it was fun to go out!

We thought our hats were very fitting ;)
