Let's see....I am trying to remember back to when it all started....
Once upon a time, my cousin Sandra introduced me to her roommate Traci. We became friends but never really got to see each other. Sad, I know. Then, Traci got me a job at the Law Library when I moved up to BYU! How sweet! That's Traci for ya! Anyways, after a full semester, Traci and I barely ever saw each other still and were saddened by this unfortunate fact. Then, last weekend, Traci called and invited me to the basketball game! SCORE! (pun intended) We finally got to hang out!! Oh my gosh it was so fun!!
After the game, we went to Cafe Rio with some more people, my new friends Carli and Bobbi! it was so fun and I really like all these girls!(As soon as I get them from Traci, I have more pictures)After a delicious dinner, we decided to go in the jacuzzi at Crestwood (hey that's where Karli and Sarah lived!) and it was so fun!! Some more new friends joined us too! The pool was frozen about 4 inches thick, just solid ice! I got it in my head that if I walked on the ice, I would be walking on water and just had to do it!! I think I was the only one who thought it was cool, but it got the boys thinking they couldn't have a girl being braver then they are, so they tried it too. Haha.

After jacuzzi time, we went to watch a movie, Disturbia, at one of their houses. They have the comfiest red couch (which they named Clifford...what do you want? Boys name everything!).
Sunday, the same fabulous girls invited me to a waffle party put on by another ward in the area (I think it was the BYU 145,896th ward? haha jk) and they were so yummy and it was fun meeting yet again, more people! I am just being so social! Haha.
Monday, I went to my ward FHE, which I FINALLY was invited to because I made enough ruckus about it. Haha. No one ever knew I was in their little FHE family so I never knew what was going on and I kept trying to find out and ya....anyways, it worked out so I know now and we had fun just playing games. I learned a new one that I can't wait to teach everyone.
I think the highlight of my week was Mexi-Martes!!!! OLE!!!!

The male half of the new friends I made last weekend apparently have a Mexi-Martes party on tuesday nights! They made fajitas, had spanish music playing and even a pinata!!

In order to hit the pinata, they hung it out the apartment window by a vacuum cord, over the parking garage entrance and they hit it with a broom (one guy used a sword haha)

It had candy in it, but it also had random stuff in it like toy dinosaurs and scope and toilet seat covers for your purse! Hahah. These guys are hilarious!! Anyways, it was so fun and I am glad I made friends with fun people!!On a less social, more scholastic, yet equally happy note: I got an 87% on my Gender exam that everyone else I heard from didn't do too well. Even my professor said she would pray for us because we would need it since her tests are so hard. Haha. There is an essay portion of the exam that hasn't been graded yet, so I shouldn't speak too soon but I feel pretty ok with the answers I gave. We'll see, but for now, I am celebrating!! Also, I had my first exam for my Personality class and it was an essay too (so I won't know my grade for two weeks) but I feel pretty confident that I got at least a B on that too!! ::woot::woot::
One last exciting order of business: I finally got our TV working!! I have been trying since I first moved in, back in August, and yes, I gave up for a while, but I got re-determined and finally got it working! Yay!! Now, even when Mandy ISN'T home, I can be entertained. Haha. No, so far, I have been really good about setting a certain time limit and making sure to get up when I need to. So it's ok.
Before I end, I wanted to quote our beloved Prophet who passed away on Sunday. He was an amazing person and although we will miss him and I am saddened by the fact that he is no longer with us, I am at peace with his passing and happy that he is with his wife again, and can be with her forever.
"I would like to suggest that we stop seeking out the storms of life and enjoy the sunlight. I am suggesting that we "accentuate the positive". I am asking that we look a little deeper for the good, that we still our voices of insult and sarcasm, that we more generously compliment virtue and hard effort. There is good all around us--if we will only look for it.
"In my ninety-plus years, I have learned a secret. I have learned that when good men and good women face challenges with optimism, things will always work out! Truly, things will always work out! Despite how difficult circumstances may look at the moment, those who have faith and move forward with a happy spirit will find that things always work out."
- President Gordon B. Hinckley

My dad even gave DDR a chance.
That was so fun too and I was really glad I got to go. Another merry christmas. One perk of having two families: two holidays. I get spoiled even more. Boy did I ever. I am so loved, I just don't get it. But I am certainly not going to complain; only look for ways to pay it forward. :).jpg)
I got to have a little pinch of my old life, with a dab of good memories, and an abundance of love, fun and great weather! .jpg)
