While studying for my finals, I learned how stress causes ulcers. I also learned how it can suppress your immune system. (If you really want to know how exactly, I can tell you. Just ask)
So now I know why I got sick during finals week and why I am convinced I am going to get an ulcer sooner or later.
Oh and I also learned earlier this semester that Botulinum Toxin is an exteremely potent poison. Someone once calculated that one teaspoon of pure botulinum toxin could kill the world's entire population. It is produced by a bacterium that can grow in improperly canned food. This poison prevents the release of Acetylcholine (ACh), which has to do with all musclular movement. If you didn't already notice the first part of each word comes to be botox. Botox is a very diluted solution of botulinum toxin. But doesn't it make sense? They inject botox into the muscles of the face to stop muscular contractions that are causing wrinkles. Oh and just so you know, black widow spider venom is the solution to botulinum toxin. I know right? It stimulates the release of ACh. Although black widow spider venom can also be fatal, it is much less toxic and it would actually take quite a few bites to kill a healthy adult. Infants and elderly are the ones who would be more susceptible.
Interesting huh? This is what I learn. I love my major.

TURKEY AND HERSHEY CAKE!!!
First off, can I just tell you, how grateful I am for you? I know it seems impersonal to be writing it on my blog, as a generic greeting, but I really do mean it. Those who read my blog are most often loved ones and good friends, and I sincerely am so very grateful for you. YES. you. :) Thank you for being in my life.
So0 Thanksgiving! This was my first one without my family. It just wasn't practical for me to drive down to CA for such a short trip. Not this time anyway. I'm not going to lie and say I didn't miss them. It was strange not being with them. Not to mention incredibly discouraging, knowing they were in Palm Springs at the condos with a swimming pool and lazy river and the sun and just in CA in general. But most importantly, just missing their company was the main reason it was a bummer.
However, even though I missed them a lot, and it was new and different (and most people know I'm not a big fan of changes to my traditions) this was a wonderful holiday and I absolutely loved it.
After working the first half of the week, KR and I drove up to West Jordan, where his sister lives. She and her husband are a year older than me and KR and so have a lot of fun with them.
This break was SOOO needed. It was nice to just get away from college life and relax. No stress and all fun. As much as I love my roommates, it was nice to get away from the chaos and mess and noise. It was nice to have no classes, and even for a few precious days, no work. (man my job is boring...but that's another story)
Brian, KR's brother in law, is really awesome on the guitar. KR didn't know how to play so Brian taught him. He picked it up really fast. Of course I was loving it because who doesn't like a guy who plays guitar. :) 
And that, folks, is the end of this post. Sorry it was so long. Hopefully I didn't bore you, and you got to see how my holiday went. I hope everyone elses was just as wonderful. Again, remember how grateful I am for you and have a terrific day!!!

The day after thanksgiving, the boys had a project. They spent the day building bunk beds (remind you of any certain family that likes to play with WOOD?) They did that all day while Catherine and I went Black Friday Shopping! It was so fun!! We went to Gardner's Village and then the mall. I felt like I failed as a female when I returned with only one bag: I bought myself this purse I have been wanting for a long time. It was 50% off!! I had to!! Anyways, the boys literally took ALLL day and still weren't done (even after we watched about half a season of Gilmore Girls... or 'Glamour Girls' as Brian and now KR call it). So they had to use a lot of Saturday to finish it. Finally, we made them take a break to hang out with us. Haha.

Monday night, we had a roommate date!! We made dinner together and had champagne classes and everything. It was so fun. We had it planned out a few days in advance and we just had a blast.

LOTS OF NEW PICTURES!!! WoO!!!
Ok guys, I know you have been waiting FOREVER, and quite frankly, so have I. but now it's the moment you've all been waiting for!! Pictures from new newest semester at BYU!!! SENIOR YEAR!!!
And boy has it been fabulous!!

My roommate Amanda has been dating her boyfriend Zack for 3 years, but he lives in GA and her family just moved to NY semi-recently. Needless to say, they don't see each other often, but he came to visit early October. They are so cute together!!
These pictures, btw, were taken at a birthday party held at our apartment for our roommate Christy. She is a twin and they are friends with another set of twins and they all have the same birthday!! So we had a huge joint party for them all! Here's me and Amanda.

It hadn't snowed down by us yet, but there was snow up there already! It was such an amazing view!!

At the top, there was an unoperating (for now, since ski season hasn't started) ski lift and so we got to take pictures on it. It was my first time to officially be on one. Pretty cool huh?
Ok, I just have to say. I LOVE my roommates!!! We are such girls and have SOO much fun and get along so great. I have never been happier!!! (Especially since none of them are engaged....uh hem)

Sarah Swanson's birthday was late October and KR helped me heart attack her!! Look how he tucked the hearts in the door jam so it would just rain hearts on her when she opened the door!! YAY!! She loved it (I presume).
BYU Basketball season hasn't officially started but they had the Blue and White game, where they split the team in half and they play against each other. It was a fun game, to just show off the new team. They are still only playing exhibition games right now, but as soon as the season starts, you can guess who will be there every game! And you'll be seeing lots of pictures so don't even worry about it!
I ALWAYS cut our heads off!! GRR!!! hahah.
HALLOWEEN!!!! ok so KR is a HUGE Portland Trailblazers fan (NBA, hello?!) and so for Halloween, he was Brandon Roy, and I was a Blazer dancer. I even made my own pom-poms!! GOOOOO BLAZERS!!!
This is my "cheerleader pose" that my roommates were teasing me about (if you look at past pictures, like on facebook, I pose like this a lot, even when you can't see my body) but this was the first time I could use it legitimately. Don't you love the shoes?!
We drove up to SLC and met up with KR's bff Greg and his girlfriend Mari. We went to dinner at some random mexican restaurant, mostly just to eat. It was pretty good. not bad.
The whole time, this older man kept doing magic tricks for us. haha. This is him about to put a pen through KR's dollar!!

Group Shot!! (they were a cowboy and indian) After dinner, we went to a super scary Haunted House on 13th street. Nightmare on 13th Street, it was called. Again, anyone who knows me, knows I was pretty much scared to death. Almost in tears just while standing in line hahah. It was way fun though and I am glad I went.
The whole point of this shot was the basketball and she cut it out....grrr... still way cute though.
My favorite shot. We're pretty much adorable.
We were going to go to this party in Logan but it wound up being $25 a person!! SO not worth it!! So, since we were going to be staying at KR's sister's house, we thought we might as well head out so as not to be rude guests and come in too late. This is his sister's new kitty!! Roxie (good name eh?)
The next day, we went to his other sister's daughter Anna's baptism (KR's neice, but just to clarify the different between sisters). Afterwards we went to their house and had delicious food and just had a relaxing fun day outside in the back yard.
